Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko, feel free to discuss, ask questions and explore the deeper meanings of "the greatest novel in Native American literature".

To be honest, Ceremony was my favorite book out of the three we read. One interesting symbol I kind of want some feedback on is the Mountain Lion. It was recurring and it seemed to be a pretty simple symbol for power but one of the things I kept asking myself was why it would be used by both things seen as good and evil. It was sort of weird. Also, the image of a fat belly seems to come up a lot. If I could get some feedback on those two things that would be great.
